200 Count Pack of Unicorn 14-A with an XLS-A Filter for extra air exchange is ideal for growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms.

These bags are 2.2 mil in thickness and offer the same high-quality 2” x 3” 0.5 micron (A) filter available on the larger XLS-A bag. These are great for standard grow blocks, for testing new varieties, or if you are starting. They are sized to fit 5-7 lbs of substrate.

The 14A with XLSA filter provides just the right amount of gas exchange/air flow for most top-fruiting strains to fully develop in vitro (without even needing to cut the bag for added oxygen). Some strains still prefer the cut bag at a certain point in fruit-body development, but the size of cut still depends on the bag's external environment for humidity and sterility. Fruiting with these bags in vitro means you are less reliant on supplemental humidity like there is in most gourmet mushroom fruiting environments. It also allows fruiting in vitro in "dirtier" grow spaces with less opportunity for contamination.

These are also a great alternative to growing in tubs.
